 Spring Turkey Permit Season 2010

• Application Period: January 25–February 22

• Award Notification and Permit Pickup: Begins March 8.

Permits must be claimed by 11:59 p.m. on March 28.

All permits awarded in the lottery will be held until

11:59 p.m. on March 28. Unclaimed awarded permits

will be placed in the over-the-counter sale. Application

fee(s) will not be refunded for unclaimed permits.

• Over-the-counter sale of leftover permits: Tuesday,

March 30 at 10 a.m. until permits sell out or the season

   

Spring Season: There are five segments (Hunting Periods) in the

Spring Season. Hunters must decide in which period they would

like to hunt. Permits are Hunting Area and Hunting Period specific

(i.e., 5A, 8E, etc.).

Youth Hunting Period (Y): April 24 (Youth Turkey Hunting Day)

to May 28, 2010. This is exclusively applicable to youth hunters

aged 10–16 who can still hunt using their youth hunting license.

The first permit a youth receives will be designated Period Y.

B. Monday, May 3–Friday, May 7, 2010

C. Monday, May 10–Friday, May 14, 2010

D. Monday, May 17–Friday, May 21 and

Monday, May 24–Friday, May 28, 2010

E. Saturdays: May 1, 8, 15 and 22, 2010
